Loyal I.T. Turns 20!
Back in 2002, a young Michael Goodwin made the hard decision to leave his employer and embark on the journey of creating his own I.T. company.
Mick had started working in telecommunications straight out of school and soon tried his hand at I.T. and found a passion for it. When the company merged with a Sydney business, the stress of the commute and clash of company culture made Mick realise he needed to move on.
With Julie by his side and three young boys running around, Mick set up the home office and started providing I.T. support for his first clients, most of which are still clients today.
It didn’t take long for business to pick up and Mick and Julie needed to recruit, with Anthony Barr joining the team as a fellow technician. Since then, Loyal I.T. has grown from a team of 3 in a garage to a team of 12, including technicians, management, support staff and client advisors.
Whilst there have been many proud moments over the past 20 years, one of the proudest is when Loyal I.T. won the local chamber ‘Award for Excellence in Business Ethics’ 2 years in a row. In addition to this, our long-time Managing Director also won ‘Employer of Choice, Young Business Leader of the Year’, amongst many other accolades.
Mick’s future vision for Loyal I.T. is to continue being a successful business and to be the go-to I.T. provider on the Central Coast.
It’s been a fabulous ride and whilst there have been a few tough times, Loyal I.T. has always gone from strength to strength and, judging by the support and love we have with our team and our clients, we expect we will be around for a lot longer than 20 years!
