Computers are not just for business anymore. With most people having access to a computer at home, there are many fun things you can do on your computer. Here's a list of the Top 5 Fun things to do on your computer

Personalise your computer

You can change your background on your computer to make it something really unique. First step is to go to your desktop (with no applications showing), then with your mouse right click. One of the options is "Personalise" - click on this option. A screen will open up giving you options to change your picture. You can change your desktop fonts, and colours here as well. If you click on the "Browse" button you can upload a family photograph or picture of your pet, if you have saved it to your computer.

Put your photographs or short movies into one movie

This can be done using Windows Movie Maker, or Video Editor on Windows. On the Apple devices you can use iMovie. Using these applications, you can download photographs or video clips off your PC or a portable drive to the application and then sort the images into an order. You can add some special filters such as fadeout, star and swipe. You can also add music, as well, to make the video extra special. Combining your images or videos is highly recommended for sharing special family moments.

Start a virtual diary

You can create a personal journal or diary, using templates available on your document creation application. In Word, for example, you can click New when you open the application and type in the word "journal", and you get some examples of a journal you can personalise and fill in.

Edit your photographs

There are some great photo editors out there that are free, but Mac and Windows devices also are loaded with standard photo editors. Upload a photograph to your computer. Then open your photo editing program (Photos on Mac or Photo on Windows). you can then resize, crop, rotate, change the colour, remove red eye and add a filter - all for free.

Make some digital art

For creative people there is an outlet at your fingertips - digital art programs. Using a program like Paint 3D on Windows or Preview on Apple devices, you can free hand designs or bring a photograph over to heavily edit. You can add shapes, figures, edit colours and add text. You can get lost in a digital wonderland!
